General Home Repairs
Squeaky stairs, loose railings, sagging shelves, wobbly banisters, weatherstripping and all the odd jobs that never quite make it to the top of the list.
Loose railings, sticking doors, the ceiling fan still in its box. We knock out the small repairs that are too fiddly for a weekend and too small for a contractor — one skilled craftsman, booked by the hour or the day.
Text photos or fill in the form. Big list, small list — both are welcome.
You get an honest time estimate and a firm hourly rate before we book.
Same craftsman, arriving on time, cleaning up before the door closes.
Most homes don’t need a specialist for every little thing. They need one capable person who can do all of it well.
Squeaky stairs, loose railings, sagging shelves, wobbly banisters, weatherstripping and all the odd jobs that never quite make it to the top of the list.
Baseboard and crown moulding, closet build-outs, custom shelving, deck board replacement and repairs to rotted exterior trim.
Patching holes, taping seams, texture matching and clean interior repainting — rooms, ceilings, doors and trim.
Realigning doors that stick, replacing hinges and strike plates, new deadbolts and smart locks, screen repair and window hardware.
Leaky faucets, running toilets, new vanities, garbage disposals, shower heads and shut-off valves. No permits, no drama.
TV mounts, ceiling fans, light fixtures, curtain rods, closet systems and flat-pack furniture assembled properly the first time.
If it’s on this list, it’s usually a one-hour visit. Bundle a few and you’ll get through them all in a morning.
Bundle three or more and we’ll book you a half day.
We charge for the hours we’re on site — no trip fees, no markup games. Materials are billed at cost with the receipt attached to your invoice.
Sample structure shown for demonstration only. Your written quote is confirmed before we schedule — and if a job runs short, you’re only billed for the time used.
Sawhorse started because too many good people were stuck between a contractor who wouldn’t take a two-hour job and a stranger off a listings site who showed up without a drill. We keep a small crew on purpose — you meet the person who does the work, and you get the same person back next time.
Send photos of anything unusual. The more we see, the tighter the estimate.
We come back within one business day with hours, rate and a materials estimate.
Morning or afternoon, Monday through Saturday. We text when we’re on the way.
We review every item with you before we pack up, and vacuum what we made dusty.
“Eleven things on my list, all done in one half day. He even took the old fixtures with him. First contractor who ever called back the same day.”
“Quoted three hours, finished in two and a half, and only charged me for two and a half. The drywall patch is genuinely invisible.”
“We use Sawhorse for turnovers on all four of our rentals now. Punch list goes out Monday, units are ready by Thursday. Invoices are spotless.”
Send the list and we’ll come back within one business day with hours, rate and the next open slot.
No obligation, and no charge for the estimate. Attach photos when we reply and we’ll tighten the numbers.
